communicate with electronically, including via SMS text messaging. Qualico maintains several
websites accessible via the Internet. We provide this privacy policy so you know about our online

the Internet for all Qualico-maintained websites and electronic communication methods. The
Privacy Policy applies to the collection, use, disclosure, protection and accuracy of personal
information collected by Qualico.

you wish to proceed in engaging any services of or a purchase from any of our business units, and
contact information in regard to your participation in any sales or service product including, but
not limited to, the purchase of a Qualico home or living in a Qualico community. Some purposes
we collect information for, depending on your engagement with our businesses and services,

• General communication information such as newsletters or marketing, including via email or
  SMS text messaging;
• Contact information in relation to a purchase and sale transaction, including in relation to
  corresponding with any lender or title insurance agency;
• Providing your personal information to a third party vendor to confirm identity;
• Providing you with status updates on any construction or process which you may have
  retained our services in relation to;
• In relation to any architectural guidelines, to confirm same are being followed or to answer
  requests in regard to same, including that we may disclose your personal information to
  outside firms in relation to verification of the foregoing;
• In relation to any homeowner or neighborhood associations, or in relation to any
  condominium corporation;
• In relation to marketing, such as (but not limited to) for opportunities available to customers
  living in Qualico neighborhoods and communities, or in regard to marketing or satisfaction
  surveys;
• If you submit any information to our Canadian Career Center websites, we may use same for
  typical purposes in regard to employment and recruitment, including searches in relation to
  background information, or keeping such information in storage for future opportunities;
• Analytic purposes, such as (but not limited to), customer trends analysis, collecting and
  analyzing customer feedback and/or information for the improvement of our services and
  offerings, and those analytic purposes listed in “Website Analytics” below.

Pursuant to the above, we may share your personal information amongst our business units and
divisions and our affiliate companies, for the above purposes or for any purpose disclosed at the
time such information is collected, or if such information sharing is required in connection with
another business division or affiliate of Qualico’s assisting you with a certain portion of services
or assets we are providing, for example (but not limited to), our DesignQ division assisting with
selection of finishes for a home purchased from one of our home building affiliates or divisions.
We do not sell or trade your personal information to outside parties without your consent, except
as provided pursuant to this policy. We will limit the information we collect to what we need for
those purposes. If we wish to use your information for any other purpose, we will obtain your
consent before using the information. Information for marketing and analysis may be used
indefinitely unless we receive a request from you for your information to be removed in regard
to same, such as an “unsubscribe” request. Information will otherwise be retained or deleted in
normal course depending on its use. We may retain information as long as it may be reasonably
required for business or legal purposes related to our operations and in particular to ensure we
are able to meet legal, audit, and other legal compliance obligations and requirements.

If you wish to “opt-out” of information sharing among our business units and divisions and/or in
relation to the above personal information uses or communication methods, please contact us

Qualico and its affiliated companies and business divisions may also provide your personal

or other law, and such information may also be disclosed where necessary for the exercise or

Our services are not intended or permitted for use by children and we do not knowingly collect
personal information from children under the age of 13. If such information collection comes to
our attention, we will delete that information as quickly as we are able. If you believe any
information may have been inadvertently collected from a child under 13, please contact us using
