Explore the Beaches and Shorelines of Surrey

When you live in South Surrey, you won’t be traveling far before you hit a coastline. The long stretch of sand at Crescent Beach is only 15 minutes from home and White Rock Beach is just a 10-minute drive away when you live at The Boroughs.

Pack your car with spades and buckets, towels and sun umbrellas, and get to know these and other shorelines this summer.

Crescent Beach

With two swimming areas, water lovers flock to Crescent Beach in the summer months. Rent a paddle board at Crescent Beach Paddle Shack and feel the blissful peace of floating on the ocean. At the end of a long day, find a patch of sand or a bench to watch the sunset colours across Boundary Bay and the Strait of Georgia.

White Rock Beach

Stroll between East Beach and West Beach, enjoy a tasty ice cream cone or a plate of fish and chips, venture out on historic White Rock Pier, and savour the water views. White Rock Beach oozes charm and beauty.

Blackie Spit Park

Neighbouring Crescent Beach, this favourite park features a dramatic spit that points into Mud Bay. Your pups will love it here in one of two off-leash areas with grass and sand. Fun fact: Blackie Spit Park is one of Canada’s top bird-watching areas, and harbour seals are locals.

1,001 Steps Park

Don’t be dissuaded by the name — there aren’t actually 1,001 steps down to the water. But there are a lot. Work those leg muscles on zigzag stairs from the road to a pathway that parallels the water. Keep going on the pathway and you’ll eventually reach the beach. The views are worth the trek.

We are now selling townhomes at Bexley, Chapter Two at The Boroughs in South Surrey.
